Rosemary Galloway

Born, January 16, 1953, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 28, 2014. She is survived by her beloved husband John. Loving mother to Jennifer and Sarah (Aaron), cherished daughter to Helen and Nick Matecsa(1999) and sister to Bettianne. Throughout her illness, Rosemary’s strong spirit was demonstrated by her determination and optimism; constantly defying the odds until coming to rest with her family, at home. Rosemary’s passion for her family, home and garden and her love for her pets, as well as being Black Tom’s groom at the shows, will live on in her family’s memory forever. The family will always be grateful for the care and compassion of the doctors at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, and the wonderful nurses and caregivers from CCAC, The Outreach Program, Bayshore and Aberdeen, who made it possible for us to keep and care for Rosemary at our home, as she wished. The generous acts of kindness from neighbours and close friends, our family will always be thankful for. To honour Rosemary’s request, there will be no formal service. Cremation has taken place. An informal gathering will be held at the “THORPE BROTHERS’ FUNERAL HOME - CARRIAGE HOUSE”, 96 West Street, on Friday July, 4th, 2014 from 1pm-3pm.
