Steve Mike Szarko

.It is with heavy hearts that the family of Steve Szarko announce his passing on December 2, 2016 in his 66th year. Beloved father to Steve (Rosemarie) and Papa to Stephanie. Predeceased by mother Margaret Szarko and Father Steve Szarko, loving wife Patricia, daughter Lore and sister Helen (Mike) Lepage. Survived by sisters Margaret (Pierre) Patry and Annie (Valerie/Karen) Szarko, brothers Frank and John (Dagmara) Szarko, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Brother-in-law to Donna (Buck) Coutu, Danny (Wendy) Lindenbach and Neil (Jeanette) Lindenbach.

Steve had a lot of passions in his life. For those who knew him, it is well known that his Granddaughter Stephanie was at the top of that list. Steve and Pat lived to make sure that Stephanie had the love she needed to grow into the woman she is today. Steve was also a father, musician, businessman, avid weightlifter, member of Turtle Inc. (Val, Karen and Annie) and Harley enthusiast. Steve will be remembered and loved always and we know that he is riding his big Harley in the sky, reunited with the loved ones who have passed before him.The family will receive friends at “THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL” 96 West Street on Saturday December 10th from 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm with a Celebration of his life to follow directly after in the chapel.
