Beloved husband of Helen for 42 years. Loving father to David (Melissa), and Jennifer (Brett). He was predeceased by his parents Katarzyna (2005) and Jan (2009). Survived by siblings Marian (Joanna) Bish, and Susan (Jeff) Norrish. Brother-in-law to Janina Fudali (Vince Picek), Regina Fudali (the late Eugene) and Stan Fudali. Tom will be sadly missed by many other extended family and friends.
Tom enjoyed spending time with his children, family and friends and going to his favourite place, the cottage. At a very young age Tom became a member of the YMCA. He continued his commitment to weight training throughout his life and became on of only a few to reach 50 years of membership with the YMCA. Tom retired after many years of teaching with the GEDSB at Sprucedale Secondary School in Simcoe. A position he truly enjoyed.
The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS’ FUNERAL HOME”, 96 West St., on Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 11am-1pm with a service to follow in the Thorpe Suite at 1pm. Cremation to follow.
