Passed away peacefully at John Noble Home on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Virginia was in her 91st year. Virginia was predeceased by her brothers and sisters and her best friend Mary Higgins. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews; Mary Jo Phillips (Bill), Janice Cowan, Steven Pell (Joan), Eddie Pell (Pat) of Ohio, U.S.A. Also, missed by Michael Mercurio, Gina Ulinski, Jennifer Anderson (Tom), Cathy McInnes (Ken) and Karen Mercurio
( Randy Banks ) of Brucefield, Ontario. Virginia enjoyed her life and her teaching years at Brantford Collegiate in Brantford and in Sarnia at St. Patricia’s. She enjoyed her numerous travels with her travelling companion Helen Salari. There will be visitation at “THORPE BROTHERS’ FUNERAL HOME” 96 West Street, Brantford on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 11 – 1145am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Basil’s Church, 50 Palace Street, Brantford with Father Earl Talbot officiating.
