Stanley P. Buell

Stanley P. Buell, 85, of Hinsdale, NH passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 11, 2013 with his daughter by his side. He was born on June 3, 1927, the son of the late Philip and Esther (Montgomery) Buell.
Stanley has been a Hinsdale resident since 1959, previously residing in Brattleboro, VT. He was employed as a printer for Griswald Offset before his retirement. Stanley served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a very talented wood worker, loved listening and playing blue grass music, and enjoyed spending time at the family camp that he built in Peru, VT. He was a member of the VFW and the Mason, where recently he received his 50 year pin.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Ruth (Wilder) Buell in 2005; a brother, Louis Buell; and two sisters, Cora Perkins and Esther Lawrence.
Stanley is survived by 2 daughters, Sheri Fortune of Hinsdale, NH and Darcy Finnegan of Troy, NY; three grandsons, Elisha Wood of NH, Jason Nelson and his wife Heather of NM, and Nicholas Nelson of MA; and two great grandchildren, Sydney Nelson and Jeremiah Bussreie.
All Services will be private. The Ker-Westerlund Funeral Home, 57 High St., Brattleboro, VT 05301 is assisting the family with arrangements.

Sheri, This is a big shock and I am sorry to hear it...because Stanley Buell was half brother to my grandmother Cora Perkins ..both she and Stanley children of Philip Buell my great grandfather. His first wife Lily was my great
grandmother, and Cora's mother and my mothers grandfather... I knew about
Stanley and am very very sorry I did not know him..I lived in Brattleboro till I went to Calif with my husband Ben Juscen in 1958. I was able to get in touch with Cora's brothers decendents who had gone to Calf and live in No Calif...so now I know about many more interesting sounding cousins..I am now 83 .Very regretfull I did not I did not know him.
