Adeline J. Anderson, 94, passed away from a stroke on Oct. 19, 2010 in Bremerton. Adeline was born Dec. 31, 1915 at home (Sawdust Hill) in Poulsbo, WA to Joseph Ravet and Emma (Miller). She graduated from Union High School in 1932 and later attended Edison Technical School in 1954 and earned her degree in Watch Making. Adeline was a Foster Parent, Watch Maker and retired as a Civil Service Secretary (NAVCOM STATION) in Kodiak, AK. She was a member of the Little Norway Grandmother’s Club and Bainbridge First Baptist Church. Adeline enjoyed sewing, quilting, art painting, gardening and growing raspberries. Adeline is preceded in death by her husband Nicholas Anderson; parents Joseph Ravet and Emma Grondahl; brother Emil Ravet; sister Philimon; step-daughter Corrine Blackwood and grand-daughter baby girl Herbert. She is survived by her sons Allan Herbert of Kasilof, AK and Richard Herbert (Sharon) of Poulsbo; step-son Kris Anderson (Rosa) of Anchorage, AK; brother Alvin Grondahl of Chimicum, WA; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Oct. 28, 2010 from 10am until 2pm at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 2pm.
