December 13, 1978 - July 1, 2020
Amber Koral Harden (Johnston) was born on December 13, 1978 to Dennis R. and JoEllen M. “Jodi” Johnston (Searles) in Bremerton, WA. Amber died suddenly on July 1, 2020, of a severe Pulmonary Embolism. She was 41 years old.
Amber was raising two beautiful children, Ashton C. Harden, 18, and Devyn A. Harden, 13, as a divorced single mother. Amber was full of life. She was obsessed with reading and personally owned hundreds of books. She loved music, photography, and organizing. She was learning to crotchet from her mom, Jodi, and taking counted cross stitch lessons from her Grandma Marilyn. She developed an amazing love of birds, especially her favorite the Black-capped Chickadee.
Amber worked the last three plus years in the field of Logistics Management for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center at Keyport. Prior to that, she was an administrative lead for defense administrative contractors at the base. Amber had many talents and could do whatever she set her mind to. She will be missed by her family, friends and anyone who knew her as she isn’t easily forgotten.
Amber will continue to watch over her precious children, Ashton and Devyn, her sister Megan Higgs and family, Gabe, Grady and Hattie and her devoted parents Dennis and Jodi of Seabeck, WA.
A private gathering will be held by the family.
She was preceded in death by her grandma Marilyn, only 9 days earlier.
In lieu of flowers a Go Fund Me account for “Amber Harden and Family” has been set up.
