of Silverdale, WA
Oct. 1951 to Nov. 2014
Bonnie Lynn (Nace) Niemy passed onto the next stage of existence early in the morning on Friday, 28 November. She left peacefully in her sleep, at home, after a 3 year battle with cancer. The breast cancer from 1995 came back into her bones. The cancer took her vitality, then it took her dignity, and now it has taken her life. Bonnie was the daughter of Nelson Nace and Elsie Renninger of Finland Rd. Pennsburg, PA. She graduated from Upper Perkiomen H.S., class of 1969 and received an Associates of Arts degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Recreation from Leeward Community College, Pearl City, HI. She was a warm, welcoming, honest, and unique person. She enjoyed league bowling, thrift store treasure hunts and hand beading jewelry. As a Navy Wife she maintained an inviting and eclectic household and cared for three children while her husband, David, served in the Submarine Service both at sea and ashore. Bonnie set aside her personal career ambitions in order to provide daily care and support for their special needs child. Bonnie and David recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. The Navy took them out of Pennsylvania to Newport News, Virginia, Charleston, South Carolina, San Diego, California, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Newport, Roade Island, Virginia Beach, Virginia, New London, Connecticut, and to their final home in Silverdale, Washington. This wonderfully eccentric, beautiful woman will be missed. Memories of Bonnie will continue to be with us in our quiet moments and in the telling of fun stories around the wine bottle. She is at peace amongst the stars.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 12, at 1 p.m. at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Arrangements under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home, Bremerton, WA.
