Brice was raised in Silverdale, Washington. He attended Silver Ridge Elementary, where he received the Governor's award for his contributions to the school's first recycling program. He then attended Ridgetop Junior High and graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 2004. Brice was an exemplary student-athlete who was active within his student body and was selected by his peers for the homecoming court. He received a full scholarship to play basketball at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business with a specialization in Sports Management and Marketing.
Basketball was Brice’s passion. He played throughout secondary school, competed in AAU club league and continued to develop his talents on the court throughout his collegiate years at SHU. His drive, devotion, and dedication to the game persisted as he competed professionally for several teams in the Euroleague. After returning to the States, Brice built a successful career in Sales and Marketing, earning multiple awards for his performance, including Rookie of the Year. He was set to be recognized as the 2025 Western Region MVP with Astound Broadband at their employee honors in Florida this month.
Beyond his athletic and professional achievements, Brice was a talented artist who loved to draw and write poetry. A lifelong scholar, he enjoyed reading and researching a myriad of topics and was known to welcome a friendly (read: passionate) debate about what he learned. He shared his kind heart with others by volunteering his time with the Boys & Girls Club and was a pivotal participant in Kings of Kitsap Alumni Basketball Events, continuing to connect with and give back to the community through the game he loved.
Brice adored his family and friends. He was incredibly generous and a true caretaker at heart, always going out of his way to make sure the people in his life were taken care of. He was known to lovingly roast those he was closest to and, at the same time, wouldn't hesitate to give you the shirt off his back if it meant he could help. He always had a funny story to tell and will be remembered as the life of the party, whose smile lit up the room and left behind an energy and spirit that will never fade.
Brice was preceded in death by grandparents Robert and Patricia Brooks, and Floyd Lee Brooks. Left to cherish his memory are his grandmother Pearlie Agent; his parents Reginald “Reggie” and Sarah “Fran” Brooks; his sister Lauren Brooks; aunts and uncles Eunice and Rodney Johnson (in-law), Ronald and Ellen Brooks (in-law), Yolanda Lewis, and Rodney Brooks; and a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
