Bremerton, WA. Carmen was the youngest of three children. She attended and
graduated from West High School in 1963. Shortly after high school she
married David J. Gooding. Their first child, Craig Alan Gooding, was born
in 1964. Three and half years later they had their second child, Carrie Lynn
Gooding. Carmen had various careers throughout her life. She worked at a
laundromat for a short time, then was a supervisor in the claims department
at an insurance company, and finally she retired as a government contractor
managing a warehouse of supplies.
She enjoyed hiking, gardening and going on trips with her family and
friends, but especially enjoyed going to church and worshiping the Lord. She
had a soft spot for dogs, which she had two that lived with her the last 20
years of her life. They were her companions and provided her a lot of
comfort, laughter and enjoyment through the years. She was compassionate and
will be remembered for helping others and taking care of matters. Carmen
will be deeply missed by many friends and family; but with the knowledge
that she is not suffering anymore, free of pain and has been reunited with
her parents again is a great comfort.
Carmen is survived by her siblings Barbara Fahey and brother William
Anderson, children Craig Allen Gooding (Tina), and Carrie Lynn Gooding
(Richard), and two grandchildren, Brittany Gooding of Nashville, and Brent
Gooding of Arizona.
Love you until we meet again.
