Carol Diane Chafee, aged 76, passed away on July 5, 2024, in Bremerton, WA. Born on March 7 1948 leaving this world without being able to say goodbye to join her beloved family and Husband. As our dear Mother, friend, grandmother and inspirational beautiful angel whom always smiled and laughed while together sharing wonderful celebrations and experiences to the fullest because every moment is a gift. To remember Carol in the sunlight, in her lovely flower garden or cooking homemade recipes for the lucky friends and family whom often visited her heart filled home. Everything we can remember about Carol from her narrative life stories which echoed her most adored laugh and gentle smile mustn’t be sad because she is at peace and we will see her again. We could never meet another like her because she was dedicated and graceful in every way.
Carol dedicated many years of her career to HRSC NW, where her contributions were deeply valued. She was a familiar face and active member of the Kitsap County Rodeo Committee, reflecting her passion for community involvement. Additionally, Carol found great joy in traveling to sunny places, a hobby that allowed her to embrace the beauty of the world.
Carol was a proud alumnus of Olympic College and City University, where she furthered her education and prepared for her professional achievements.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her son Aaron Chafee, granddaughter Rileigh Chafee, sister Debbie Kepplar, brother-in-law Mike Foley, and nephew Shannon Foley. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Chafee, and her sister, Dallas Foley.
A gathering to celebrate Carol's life will be held at McCloud's Grill House, 4111 Wheaton Way, Bremerton, WA, on September 14th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Carol's life was a testament to the joy of giving, the warmth of community, and the love of family. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her.
