Denise Elizabeth Rahman (75), beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025. She died following a failed heart valve procedure in Silverdale, Washington. Born in 1950, she was the daughter of Edward and Dolores Quinn.
Denise grew up in Bremerton, Washington, spending her childhood on Marine Drive in West Bremerton alongside her parents and her younger brother, Edward R. Quinn III. She graduated from West High School in 1968. During her senior year, she met the love of her life, Ricky Rahman. They were married on September 13,1969 and recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.
Throughout her life, Denise found her greatest joy in being a devoted mother to her two daughters, Lisa and Kimberly, and later, being a grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was always at the center of her world. In her early years of motherhood, she was an accomplished seamstress, sewing everything from Barbie clothes to prom dresses.
In 1979, Rick persuaded Denise to move the family to Guam for a job opportunity with the U.S. government. The move became the adventure of a lifetime, giving them the chance to explore the island and travel to Japan and the Philippines for family vacations. After their time in Guam, the family returned to Silverdale, where Rick and Denise built their dream home— their residence for over 40 years together.
For 25 years, Denise owned and operated an award-winning children’s consignment store in Poulsbo, Washington. She took great pride in providing families with an affordable place to shop for quality clothing. After closing the store, she devoted herself fully to the things she loved most—gardening, camping, baking, home improvements, cooking, and spending time with her husband and family. Her greatest joy of all was hosting family dinners and holiday gatherings.
Denise leaves behind her loving husband, Rick Rahman; her brother, Edward (Anita) Quinn; and her daughters, Lisa (Neil) Baisler and Kimberly Rahman. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Alexaundrea (Jordan) Tucker, Logan (Ainsley) Orser, Sarah Baisler, and Kristen Baisler, and her great-grandchildren, Luka and Oliver Tucker. She is additionally survived by many dear nieces, nephews, and sisters- and brothers-in-law. She is preceded in death by her parents and her great-grandson, Micah Tucker.
A celebration of life with family and friends will be planned for a future date.
Memorial contributions can be made to Step By Step in Puyallup, Washington https://www.stepbystepfamily.org/, an organization that helps support pregnant women on their journey to
