Dennis E. Lucas, 76 years old of Poulsbo, WA, sadly left us on Jan 4, 2024 following a fight with CANCER. He was born to the late Victor Lucas Sr. and Cherre Wolter Lucas with one sibling, his late brother, Victor Lucas Jr. He is survived by his long time partner and a loving wife, Myrna Cruz Stacy Lucas. He has two children Paul M. Lucas and Nicole Lynn Lucas Alex.
Dennis was in the US Navy, after his discharge from the armed forces, he went back to school. He graduated from Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington, with an Associate Degree in Technical Art. He got a job at the Naval Undersea Warfare Engineering Station in Keyport, Washington as ATE Maintenance and held a supervisory position.
Dennis was blessed with loving, caring and very respective extended family and friends here in US as well as in the Philippines. To Dennis they are all his family because of the love, affection, caring, respect and attention he received from them especially from his wife’s family back in the Philippines. To him, Philippines is his home and he told everybody he was becoming Filipino. His plan was to visit family and friends even for the last time in the Philippines. Sadly, he didn’t make it because cancer took his life so quickly and unprepared. What was realized was an unexpected trip to paradise instead.
Dennis will be remembered as a very strong loving, caring, affectionate, very generous at giving a helping hand to everybody or anybody. He taught his wife many things in life from gardening to cutting trees and running the backhoe and riding lawn mower. He lived and had beautiful memories together with his wife along with everyone he called family, and friends. He touched so many hearts. He has this vibrant smile that makes everybody feels happy, comfortable and safe. He was loved by so many. At the last minute he was surrounded by all the people that loves him. He said to everybody, "I will die happy because I carry in my heart the love of everybody who showed me true, caring, love and affection, and my faith and beliefs in God, therefore I will be at peace."
