Diana Olivia Worms

She was born prematurely on February 3, 1942 to Donald and Irene Craig in Seattle, WA, and spent the first three months of her life in an incubator made by her father.

Diana grew up in Port Orchard, graduating from South Kitsap High School in 1960. She then attended Olympic College in Bremerton and Central Washington University in Ellensburg before completing beauty school in Bremerton.

Diana married Theodore Worms in 1963, and they settled in Belfair where their two children were born and raised. She worked as a hairdresser in Belfair for many years, taking a break to stay at home when her children were young, then later returning to work until retiring with Ted in 1989. She and Ted were married for 54 years before his passing in 2017.

Throughout her life Diana enjoyed camping and fishing with family, playing cards with friends, and traveling to see her beloved grandchildren, Israel, Thomas, Teddy, Scott, Zak and Chelan. She enjoyed stamping and crafting, hand-making cards which she sent widely for all occasions. Above all else, she loved family.

Diana is survived by her son Todd and his wife Tina, daughter Lisa and her husband Glen, her sisters Linda and Patricia, her brother Donald, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and many friends and relatives.

Diana was a long-time member of the Belfair Community Church. Funeral services will be held there on Saturday, August 22nd at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the North Mason Food Bank at northmasonfoodbank.org/donate/ in Diana’s name.
