Joey is survived by his wife, Cindy; children, Jolene Ceralde-Aguilar, Jenna Harmon, D.J. Ceralde and Jason Ceralde; grandchildren Milagros, Lela, Sergio, Julianna, Quorra, and Avari and Elias; brothers, Melchior and Fred Ceralde; sisters, Milagros Roque and Fe Arquero; and sister-in-law Linda Wingsness. He is preceded in death by his parents Victoria and Domingo B. Ceralde; parents-in-law, Irene and Edwin Schoolcraft; brothers, Eduardo and Joel Ceralde, and sister-in-law Kathleen Wells.
Domingo was born on 21 September 1953 in Manila, the Philippines to Victoria Paragas and Domingo B. Ceralde. He studied at Guadalupe Minor Seminary in Manila and St. Louis University in Baguio. Joey joined the US Navy in 1974 and served for five years. He married Cindy Schoolcraft, in September 1980. After moving to Bremerton, Domingo began working at NUWC Keyport as a welder. Over their 37-year marriage, the couple welcomed four children and seven grandchildren into their lives and family. His children remember him as a devout father.
Joey was a dedicated individual who loved growing fruit trees and who loved teaching people about his faith and fruit trees. He was an active and dedicated member of the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton.
A viewing will be held at 10:00 am, followed with a rosary at 10:30 am, with Mass at 11:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton on September 28, 2017 with a reception to follow in the church basement. Fr. Derek Lappe will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joey's life.
