Doris, affectionately known as Doddy, was born April 2nd, 1934 in Sharon Wisconsin to parents Raymond and Dorthea Hartman. She married Clayton Hallburg on October 22nd 1955 and shared 56 beautiful years together until his death in 2011. She was a dedicated healthcare worker and surgical technologist—and was always devoted to helping those in her care. She was known for having an excellent work ethic in her field as well as maintaining her home.
Doris loved the great outdoors and her love for wildlife was evident in everything she did and her beautiful home in Poulsbo. She loved gardening at her home as well as fostering relationships with the local wildlife, and had a special relationship with many animals. She even befriended local bears—many of whom came and visited her and Clayton at their home to get snacks and say hello. A perfect day to Doris involved watching the wildlife and working in her garden, spending time with her beautiful grandchildren, and waiting for her afternoon gameshows.
Doris is survived by four children, nine grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. Her Children Clifford, Debbie, Sherry, and Sandy noted that nothing could make her laugh like her grandchildren, and she loved to support them at sporting events. She was incredibly proud of being a grandmother and great-grandmother to all in her family. She will be dearly missed.
