Dorothy (Dottie) M. Adams, 92, of Bremerton, wife of Jerry Adams, passed away on October 11, 2012. Dottie was born in Jacksonville, Ill., the 4th of 6 children to Frank and Reffina Day, Portuguese immigrants from the island of Madeira. Ever the achiever she was the first member of her family to go to college before becoming an Aerospace operator at Boeing until her retirement in 1981.
Mom was always a bundle of activity, enjoying numerous trips with Dad, visiting all 50 states, Mexico and Canada, knitting, crocheting and her favorite activity, Baseball! Mom, her journey finished, is now reunited with Dad, her husband of almost 50 years, and with her parents, her brother Jacinto (Bud) and sisters Mary Jane, Clara and Ethel.
Mom was blessed with two children, Butch and Patty and an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was ever in motion, always with too many things to be done, but always had time for the children. When her own grandchildren were not available, she made time for the neighborhood children. I think her three greatest loves were always Dad, children and baseball.
At her request there will be no services, and she will be interred with her husband at Tahoma National Cemetery. Donations can be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
She was our Mom and we loved her. We miss her and Dad ever day.
