She was born in Lebanon, Missouri to Michael and Theresa (Berg) Schrekenhofer.
Dorothy met Louis at the local Roller Rink in Lebanon, Missouri; they later married in Kansas City, Kansas on November 19, 1949. They later moved to Bremerton, Washington in 1950.
She enjoyed her time knitting and crocheting along with friends at the Senior Center. She also loved to go salmon fishing, camping, and clam digging. Most of all she loved cooking and baking for family and friends. Dorothy was a longtime member of Camerman Institute #86, Young Ladies Institute (YLI), Sons of Italy and Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Pine road.
She was preceded in death by father, Michel Schrekenhofer and mother, Theresa (berg) Schrekenhofer; brothers Karl, George, and Charles Schrekenhofer; sisters, Mary Freitik, Marjorie Miller and Catherine Jone and nephew, Rick Cologna.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Louis; daughter, Margaret Cologna and many nieces and nephews.
