

Evangelina "Vangie" Marino Owens (a.k.a Bob) born July 25, 1948 to Felicisima (Cardano) & Salvador Marino, Senior in Olongapo, Zambales Republic of the Philippines, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 2, 2023 in Silverdale, WA.
Vangie graduated from the Philippine Women's University, in 1971. She studied Psychology, both as an undergraduate and as a a graduate.,
She married Morris V. Owens (deceased) in the Philippines on January 28, 1978.
She began her 30 year career in the Philippines as Program Support Assistant for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service in 1984, and continued that career upon her arrival to Washington State in 1987, until retiring in 2014.
She enjoyed listening to music, watching ballet, British TV shows and shopping. Her favorite activity was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Vangie is survived by her daughters, Christy (Ian) and Donna (Philip) both of Bremerton; her brother Salvador, Jr (Felina) of Manila, Philippines; her 2 sisters, Cristina (Morgan Owain) of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and LaVerne (Kevin-deceased) of Nolanville, Texas, and her 5 grandchildren, Julia, Greysen, Ira, Audrina & Alita.
She is preceded in death by her father, Salvador, Senior in 1973; husband Morris in 1999; her elder brother Romeo in 2014 and her mother, Felicisima in 2021.
Vangie will be commemorated during a Celebration of Life on August 19th, 2023 at Gracepoint Church in Bremerton, WA. Those attending please come in purple or a hint of purple, her favorite color.
