 As you go through life, you will meet a lot of acquaintances, but you will probably be able to count all your true friends on your fingers.   I counted George as one of those true friends.  We had some things in common like growing up in the Depression,  a love of flying, fishing, computers, and martinis!

Some of his other talents included mathematics and astronomy.  Before coming to United, he worked for the Navy as a mathematician .  After he retired,  he joined an astronomy club and he helped them build an observatory . 

Farewell, my true friend.  Your memory lives on.
