

Georgette Miller came into this world on September 9, 1925, the second daughter of George and Malinda Pulver of Cosmopolis WA. She graduated from Forest Ridge Academy Summa Cum Laudi, thereafter, attending Marylhurst College in Oregon and Washington State College in Pullman where she studied nursing.
On September 6, 1947 she married the love of her life James J. Miller of Aberdeen, and, devoted the rest of her life to being a loving wife & attentive mother of five children. Her husband, Jim, founded Miller Funeral Home in Bremerton (which is now Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home).
Georgette and her family were long time members of Our Lady Star Of The Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton. After Jim retired they moved to their summer home on Hood Canal near Belfair and became members of The Prince Of Peace Catholic Church.
Porgie passed away peacefully at her home of over 50 years on Hood Canal, on August 21, 2012 after a long and valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was in the loving arms of her family when she breathed her last breath. She will be sorely missed by her husband of 65 years, Jim, her daughters, Ginger Miller of Whidbey Island and Teri Green of Las Vegas NV, her sons, Jim Jr, Michael, and his wife Suzanne, of Lake Tapps, and her grandchildren Erica Sundesten, Alex Miller, Jessica Stoker, Sarah Miller, Adam Miller, Mark Green, & Randall Miller, along with three great grandchildren. She is reunited in the afterlife with her sister Martha Lou Beck of Edmonds, her son Timothy Miller, and her grandson Michael Gerard Miller.
There will be no formal services. Cremation and interment arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral home.
