

He was born on September 16, 1999, in Groton, CT, the son of Doug and Carolyn LaCoste. A military child his entire life, James lived in VA, KS, HI, and WA attending Tabb High School, in Yorktown, VA, Woodson High School in Fairfax, VA and graduating from Central Kitsap High School in Silverdale, WA in June 2017. He was studying Mechanical Engineering at Olympic College.
James’ quick wit and infectious humor made lasting impressions and friendships in every place he lived. He loved sharing a meal with friends and family especially if it included crescent rolls, steak, or sushi.
He was an avid runner and enjoyed participating in cross country, lacrosse, and track.
He earned Varsity Letters in all three high schools he attended and continued to run cross country at Olympic College. He will be forever missed by all those who knew and loved him. His family and especially his parents are proud of all he accomplished and the incredible impact he made on this world in only 18 years.
James is survived by his parents Doug and Carolyn, his brother, Ryan, and his sister, Sarah; his grandparents, Gene and Mary LaCoste; his grandmother, Thelma Cody; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
