

James Walter Price, 83, of Poulsbo passed away Sunday August 3, 2025 at St Michael's Hospital in Silverdale. James was born April 2, 1942 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Anthony and Ann Price. He graduated from high school and married his high school sweetheart Joey Nelson.
Our beloved James proudly served in the United States Navy for 32 years during which time he served all around the world. He was awarded many medals including two Combat Action Medals for his service in Vietnam and Iraq. He loved his country and was proud to serve. After he retired from the US Navy he worked for Brinks for over 16 years.
Jim was dedicated to serving his community. He was a Board of Trustee member of Branch 29 of the Fleet Reserve Association in Bremerton. He was also a proud member of the Bremerton Eagles #192 and the Bremerton VFW. He loved helping with the Wreaths Across America project and the Navy Wives Clubs of America - Kitsap #46. Jim was a very easy going guy and was a friend to everyone. He was outspoken and never hesitated to speak his mind and could make you laugh with his razor sharp wit, amazing sense of humor and many entertaining stories.
James is survived by his wife of 57 years Joey, his children, Rusty Blaire Price, Misty Elaine Price Tally (Richard), one granddaughter Farrell Laaksonen (Derek) and one great granddaughter Charlotte Juniper. He also had several nephews in the area. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Ann and his brother Sam.
James will be remembered for his warm heart, creative spirit and unwavering dedication to family, country and community. His legacy, including the values and beliefs he instilled in his children, will continue to inspire. We are incredibly proud and grateful for his love, service and sacrifices.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Your support during this difficult time has been a source of strength for our family.

Funeral Services will be held August 21, at 1:00pm at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th, Kent WA. 98042.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday August 22 at the Fleet Reserve 521 S. National Ave. Bremerton from 6-9 pm. All are welcome and encourage to share their stories of James.
