I have a thousand memories of my brother Jim. He taught me about cars, carpentry, and life. Although some of the teachings were not to do what he did. He was a free man. I mean that in more ways than one. Ever since his childhood he was free to come and go as he pleased. We never locked doors, we never had a curfew. He would love to get in the car and drive. Anywhere and everywhere. The strangest story is how he and I met again. He left for Australia when our parents divorced in 1967, and returned in 1973 in Arkansas as I left for Georgia for the ear with my mother and grandparents. Upon returning to Arkansas in 1974, got my motorcycle license and after a few months went on my first date with a girl. I took her to Burns Park. As we sat on a bench, I was getting the nerve to kiss her, when I saw who I thought was Jim. He was doing a lot of things he did with me as a child before he left for Australia, and was doing the same with 2 kids on the slides we used to play on before I left. I went to him and he looked a me, we hugged . Been closer ever since.
