Once upon a time, a little girl was sent from Heaven above. The gift of her life blessed us and made us proud parents--and a family. As she grew, her laughter filled our lives, her enthusiasm sparked our own, and her zest for learning and growing challenged us~
Each new baby that we brought home was cuddled, loved and held by Jerica who was the most amazing sister. She read stories to them all, sang songs, laughed and giggled and did all of the *little things* that helped make our lives sweeter. She was: our "Best Barista", our "Snookie-pie" Baking Girl, our "Gardening Angel", our "Rosary Prayer Warrior", our resident "Book Worm" and our delight. Her brothers and sisters miss their Big Sister, and there is quite a void in all of our hearts. We are devastated, yet hopeful, as our faith teaches us that she is in Paradise...we miss her terribly, and will love her always!
This summer, she suffered a brain aneurysm that was repaired {Thank you St. Joseph's, Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue and Harrison Hospital} and we were so blessed to be able to bring her home-- A million little miracles got us to where we are today. The prayers from family and friends as well as several beloved priests, buoyed her spirit, and she was such a little fighter, that she beat the "1-in-7" odds and made it home from St. Joseph's-- thanks be to God. We had seven shining bonus weeks with her before she was called home to Heaven on August 29, 2015.
Stories like this often finish up with the words: "The End".........but, for our Beautiful Jerica?---It is just *The Beginning*!
