

Born June 24, 1928 in Eureka California, she was the second youngest of 7 siblings.
Joan's family moved to Olympia, Washington where she was raised. Joan was a natural athlete. She loved playing softball, later becoming the star shortstop on a woman's team, much like " A league of the own".
While working as a telephone operator in Olympia she met and married her husband, Chic Loveless. They had two daughters and moved to Bellevue Washington in 1964.
The family enjoyed spending weekends and holidays at their cabins at White Pass and eventually Crystal Mountain. They also enjoyed family trips to Sun Valley Idaho in both winter and summer. They celebrated many Christmases in Hawaii where Joan loved to dine and dance.
Joan became an avid tennis player and was a member of both the Central Park Tennis Club and the Bellevue Club.
She also loved boating, enjoying many summer trips through the San Juan Islands and into Canada on the family boat. She was blessed to live on Lake Washington most of her adult life and loved trips to Hood Canal where she enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play. She was able to travel extensively to many parts of the world including the matches at Wimbledon.
Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her two daughters, Denice Bearbower and Donata Loveless, her son-in-law Ric Bearbower, her seven grandchildren, Tyler Roos and spouse Maddy, Rachel Bearbower, Cotey Bearbower, Richard Bearbower and spouse Samantha, Trent Bearbower, Hayley Bearbower and spouse Josh Hall, and by her 6 great-grandchildren, Harper Hall, Cora Roos, Emmalee Hall, James Roos, Evelyn Bearbower and Abigail Bearbower.
There will be a private celebration of life with the family.
