October 21,1941 - June 17,2020
June was born to Dorothy A. Fellows and Arnold J. Hanks on October 21st 1941. She was born and raised in Bremerton Washington.
On a summer afternoon, while walking a dog at Evergreen Park she bumped into a young man who asked her if the dog would bite, she promptly replied that the dog won’t, but I will! This handsome young man was Donald E. Craig, and he was not easily put off by the threat of a bite. He struck up a conversation and before she knew it, she had found in him the love of her life. The couple dated a few years before tying the knot on March 21, 1958.
A few years after they were married, they were blessed by the birth of their first daughter Lori A. Zinter followed closely by the blessing of two more daughters (Tari J. Rich and Holli L. Pierce) over the next few years.
June was a wonderful mother and took joy in every aspect of their lives. She shared her love of animals with each of them. The family was always surrounded by their various pets. Everything from horses and goats, to dogs, cats and rabbits. June and Don were active leaders in the girls 4-H groups. They could often be found leading a group on horse back down city roads to get to the nearest riding arena or hauling a truck load of goats to the fair with more than their fair share of young girls crowded into the front seat.
June and Don shared a love of classic cars. Junes adventurous spirt led to a love of drag racing where she would frequently beat out the boys in the heat races and finales. The pair had several classics over the years, including their current car a 39’ Chevy.
As the girls got older and more into the world of horses, June joined them. She fell in love with a young black and white pinto filly named Tony and worked hard over the next two years to buy the filly. She went on joined an equine drill team and could be found leading the team in the local parades during the summer months.
June had a deep love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved watching them learn and grow and could always be found on the side lines cheering them on during plays, horse shows concerts and rodeos. They always knew they could go to grandma for cuddles and a sweet snack. As they grew, she enjoyed teaching them. Gardening, crochet, and cooking could be learned at Grandma’s side. Her heart of gold and endless humor made light of early mistakes and anything could be discussed over a game of Solitaire.
Her faith in Jahova was strong and she enjoyed time spent in devotion with her study group from Kingdom Hall in Poulsbo.
June is survived by her Husband Donald E. Craig. The couple recently celebrated their 62rd wedding anniversary. She was the light of his life and brought color and laughter to his days.
June is also survived by her loving family.
Her eldest daughter Lori A. Zinter and her children. Raechelle Wilson, Brett and Alicia Zinter and Joseph and Carly Zinter. As well as their children Ashlee, Garrett, Jaylynn, Justin, Ellie, Gracie, Ava and Kinzley.

June was a loving Wife, mother, grandmother and friend. To know her was to be touched by the quiet joy and light that surrounded her. She was open hearted and would offer help to anyone who needed it. Her strength and wisdom were sought out in times of need and her wings sheltered may foundlings along the way. Her home was always open and you would always be greeted with a warm “Oooh Hoo” anytime day or night should the need arise.
Light, Laughter, warmth and love would always be found in everything she touched. While her passing has brought sadness and shadows the light of her love will always shine through to guide those she has touched.
