Kathleen Atkinson Mabe entered into eternal rest on November 17, 2024. She was born to the late Taylor and Dorothy (Homan) on July 11, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas; and was raised in Frostproof, Florida.
Florida was home to Kathleen for about her first 30 years until she moved to North Carolina for about 30 years. She finally settled in Washington in the last 10 years to be closer to her son, Larry.
Kathleen was an avid reader who enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel, movies, and cross stitching in her younger years. She had a special eye for butterflies and wolves, and enjoyed her solitary times.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry Boyd Mabe Sr; and her daughter, Kathryn Florine Mabe. She leaves behind cherished memories to her son, Larry (Kerrie – daughter-in-law) Mabe Jr; her grandchildren: Kyle and Kevin Mabe, Steven, Charles, Victor, Alex,Elizabeth, George and Luke Hillsman; and her 5 great-grandchildren: Peyton, Raiden, Sophia, Braylen, and Colt.
Her love and presence will be deeply missed by many.
