

Linda Lee Taormina, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Bremerton, WA, on April 11, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on December 5, 1945, in Culver City, CA, Linda lived a spiritual life of faith and devotion, leaving a profound impact on all who knew her.
Linda met her husband, Matt Taormina, in college at a sorority/fraternity social event in Redondo Beach. After graduating from Northrop Institute of Technology in Inglewood, CA, with a degree in electrical engineering, Matt began his career at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. Linda earned her associate degree from El Camino Junior College in Torrance, CA. After a memorable trip to Bremerton with her mother, Pauline Casala, Matt proposed, and they were married on February 12, 1966.
Linda was a woman of many interests and talents. She found solace in nature, with a special love for animals, trees, and the breathtaking beauty of Mt. Rainier. Hiking, biking, Zumba, aerobics, and long walks brought her joy and kept her active. An avid reader and a talented cook, Linda cherished the moments spent in her kitchen, sharing meals with her family and friends.
Matt and Linda enjoyed traveling to destinations all over the world. Exploring the Colosseum in Rome, riding a donkey up the cliffs of Santorini, Greece, swimming in the Pacific Ocean off of Tahiti and Bora Bora, snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef while traveling to Australia and New Zealand. They also enjoyed adventuring in the beautiful National Parks of the United States.
Her quiet strength and stoic nature were evident throughout her life, particularly during challenging times. Linda was devoted to her family, always reliable and supportive, embodying a spirit of love and resilience. Proud of her Spanish heritage, she instilled the values of faith and family in her children, Mark, Renee, and Trish Taormina.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Matthew Taormina; her three cherished children, Mark Taormina, Renee Taormina, and Trish Taormina; her son-in-law, Thomas Brown; and her beloved grandchildren, Kingston and Lola. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion that will continue to inspire her family and friends.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The American Cancer Society, reflecting Linda's commitment to fighting cancer and supporting those in need.
Linda will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her grace, strength, and the love she shared with all.
