Lois Jean Gribbin, 81, of Bremerton, beloved wife of 50 years to Ralph Gribbin passed away at her home with her family by her side on August 16th, 2018. Lois was born on July 3rd 1937 in Preston Idaho to the late Alvin and Alta Jensen.
In 1947 Lois’s family moved to Ogden Utah where she spent her childhood and teenage years. She graduated from Weber High School in 1955 and attended Weber College. Shortly after starting college she was married and had four children but was still waiting to meet the man who would be her lifelong companion. In 1967, while working as a waitress, Lois met Ralph Gribbin. The two fell in love immediately and were married shortly after. In 1974 Ralph officially adopted her four children formalizing the family she has always wanted. Lois worked for the naval shipyard for many years, retiring in 1996 as a supervisor in the Accounting Department. Lois valued her family and faith above all else and spent her free time either working at the church or with those she loved. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was deeply committed to her faith. She spent many hours volunteering for the church including a two year mission in 1998. She enjoyed traveling with her sister and brother in law – visiting all 50 states in her lifetime. She loved getting her whole family together for holidays and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lois lived a happy life that was full of love and she shared that love with everyone whose life she touched.
