Mary was born in Sequim, WA. on Dec. 31, 1929 to Emery and Della Moore.
In her youth Mary attended elementary schools in Sequim WA, Aberdeen, WA and Bremerton, WA. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1947.
After graduating from high school she met the love of her life Al Stabler and they were married in September of 1947 at the Methodist Church that stood on Pacific Ave. in downtown Bremerton.
The first of the Stabler children Randy was born in 1949 followed by Wendy in 1950 and Richard in 1955.
In 1960 Mary completed a 12 month course at Olympic College in Bremerton and became a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Mary was an LPN until 1970 when she completed her Registered Nurse course at Olympic College. This was the first RN class offered at Olympic College and Mary earned several Honor Roll credits along the way. She earned her nursing pin which contained a diamond which indicated that she was the top student in her class. All of her fellow students remarked that she would be the nurse that they all would like to be attended by if they were ill and required attention. She was the best.
Some of the things Mary loved to do in life was gardening, needlepoint, crossword puzzles, camping, visits to the ocean, square dancing and reading.
Mary is survived by her husband of 75 years Al Stabler of Allyn, WA., Her 3 children Randy of Bremerton, Wendy (Jim) of Allyn and Richard (Anita) of Poulsbo. Grandson Jason, Granddaughter Tara (Jesse) and their children Jace, Zak, Taylor, Granddaughters Jennifer, Amanda, Emily and Sarah, Great Granddaughter Kiara, Great Grandson Dominic, Great Granddaughters Paris, Syndelle and Kali and Great Great grandson Ryder all of Bremerton, Brother in Law Nelson Stabler and his wife Carol of Springfield, Ohio and many second cousins in WA State.
Mary was predeceased by her parents Emery and Della Moore, her sisters Carol and Leona nad her special cousin Mary Colleen who was like a sister to her throughout her life and many aunts and uncles and many other family members.
A viewing will be held at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home on Tuesday December 13th, 2022 at 11:00AM with entombment to follow at 12:00pm.
