Mercedes Robles Alejandro, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Saturday August 29, 2020 at the age of 88.

She was born October 28, 1931 at Olongapo Zambales Philippines, the 2nd of ten children, to Prudencio Paralejo Robles Sr. and Maria Vivas Robles. She graduated from Jackson High School and received her Bachelor of Science from University of Santo Tomas, Manila.

She moved to the U.S. leaving her childhood home in 1962 with a toddler and baby in tow to join her husband with the U.S. Navy stationed in San Diego. The family expanded with the addition of two daughters while stationed in Agana Guam and later settled in the Pacific Northwest.

Raising her family in a new and unfamiliar culture introduced a lifetime of adventure and priceless memories. After 11 years of commuting to Seattle, she retired from Thaw Corporation while having built many friendships and joy in her interactions with all people she encountered. Her outgoing spirit was enjoyed by everyone of all ages at family gatherings and community events. She was a dedicated and supportive military spouse, loving and selfless of her time for family and friends.

Her interests included: ceramics, cooking, embroidering, gardening, karaoke, playing dominoes, shell fishing and traveling locally and abroad.

She is preceded by her husband Jose Q. Alejandro of 53 years and survived by her sisters Lourdes, Magdalena, brother Santiago, her children Victor, Daniel (Libby), Suzin (Gary), Helen (Francis), Joe T., grandchildren Nicholas, Kristine, Cyrus, Shaun and great grandchild Enna.

"Mom" will be so missed by me. I loved talking to her, teasing each other and sharing fun times together. She was a great hostess and always made you feel welcome at her house. My sympathy and prayers go out to her family. May your memories of her warm your hearts and give you comfort.
