Myrtle Eleanor McHenry Arter

March 3, 1922June 7, 2011

ARTER – Myrtle, 89, of Port Orchard, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 07, 2011 with her two daughters and son at her side. She was active in the church her entire adult life, and was a member of St. Erasmus Anglican Church in Burley, and frequently visited St. Charles Anglican Church in Poulsbo. Myrtle enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and creating crafts for friends and family, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. To know her was to love her, for she touched the life of everyone she knew. She was preceded in death by Elmer, her loving husband of 63 years. She is survived by her children, Carrie, Catherine and Elmer, and their spouses. Her seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 10, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Charles Anglican Church, 20295 Little Valley Rd. NE, in Poulsbo; followed by a 3:00 p.m. interment service at Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park, 5505 Kitsap Way, Bremerton. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Kitsap County, POB 3416, Silverdale, WA.

Arrangements under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home, Bremerton, WA.

My Mom was certainly a gift from heaven. She was alway mindful of peoples feelings and was loved by all who knew her. The world was a better place for her having been here. I miss her greatly. Rest in peace Mom.

Mom ,was a very special lady. I felt loved from the first time I met her. We had a lot of fun traveling to Reno. When Elmer and I got married we went to Reno and took Mom and Dad with usthey stood up for us at the wedding, Mom was my Matron of honor and DAD was the best Man for Elmer. We had such a good time .Mom loved making things with her hands .she was such a sweet and loving Mom.I will surely miss her. Love you Mom. Love Bonnie
