Norma (Normy) Bentley, 85 of Bremerton passed away Tuesday in her home.
She was born in Fargo, North Dakota to Arthur and Emma (Peterson) Orwald. On February 5, 1949, she married Doyle Bentley in Webster, South Dakota.
Norma was a stay at home mother raising four children. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, knitting and many other crafts. Norma was a life-time member of the Bremerton Elks.
Norma’s husband of 55 years, Doyle Bentley preceded her in death on August 12, 2005. Her sisters, Maryann, Beverly and Gladys also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Roger Bentley (Catriona) of Bremerton, daughters, Bonnie Green (Richard) of Spokane, Denise Shirey (Russell) of Woodland, PA, Lori Smith (Randall) of Poulsbo, her sister Dorothy Miller of Fargo, ND and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton, Washington. Memorial donations may be made to Bremerton Elks Lodge 1181 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
