

Oscar proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 2007 to 2014, achieving the rank of Food Service Specialist Second Class (FS2). During his years of service, he earned several decorations, including the Coast Guard "E" Ribbon, the Coast Guard Achievement Medal, the Coast Guard Commandant's Letter of Commendation Ribbon, and recognition for Honorable Service. His dedication and commitment reflected his deep sense of duty to his fellow servicemembers and to the nation.
Beyond his military service, Oscar was a man of many passions. He was a poet, whose words carried depth and heart, and an automotive enthusiast, who found joy in the craft, speed, and beauty of cars. Above all, he was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, devoted to his family and proud of the bonds they shared.
He was the beloved son of Oscar Obsuna Sr. and Melania Endiape, and the cherished youngest sibling of brothers Jay and Jon Obsuna and sister Mia Gil. Oscar was also a proud and loving uncle to Sabrina and Ari Obsuna, Jiovani Morgan, Mialani Mae Rodriguez, and Toni Gil.
Oscar will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends. His strong spirit, kind heart, and creative soul touched the lives of many.
Funeral services will be held at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
