Patti was born June 6, 1950, in Hibbing, Minnesota to the late Lewis and Marion Carpenter. Her family moved to Walnut Creek, California where she graduated from Del Valle High School in 1968. She furthered her education at Oakland College for Medical Assistants, and was a MA for several years.
Patti moved to Washington State in 1975 and attended Olympic College to obtain her certificate in Early Childhood Education. She then opened a home daycare and became the Christian Preschool Director and Day Care Provider for the Olympic View Assembly of God church in Silverdale.
Patti was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia at the end of 2019, it is a neurological disease that travels from the language area of the brain and progresses. There is no known cure, her husband Mick and caretaker Starr Blanco, from Visiting Angels, were the primary sources of care for her, especially in her later years.
Patti was a devoted wife to Mick for 36 years. They married in 1988, and were best friends for years before they dated. Mick swept her off her feet " Micks version" she loved how Mick could make her laugh and Mick loved the fact he could tell very old jokes and get away with it.
Patti dedicated her life to taking care of children. She loved children and they loved her. She enjoyed leading worship for many years at her church as well as leading the Christian Education Department. She touched the lives of so many, she was the one you could always count on and she supported those in need through charities and also with personal concern and care.
Patti is survived by her loving husband Michael "Mick" Sheldon; her children: Eddie Tanner, Lisha Johnson, Jasmine Bell, Matthew Sheldon and David Sheldon; grandchildren: Phoenix, Kattie, Ryker, Ember, Skyler, Kylie, Taylor, Owren; brother John Carpenter of California; and numerous other relatives.

Heaven indeed is brighter today with her in it.
