Dr. Patrick E. Murray passed away Monday July 30, 2012 peacefully at his home in Allyn, Washington with his loving wife of 40 years by his side as well as his son, daughter in-law, and daughter. He was born April 6, 1951, son of Eugene Murray and Lougene Murray both of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Patrick was a graduate of Priest River High School in Priest River, Idaho. He went on to attend Eastern Washington University and he finished his degree in electrical engineering as a proud cougar at Washington State University, not before marrying the love of his life and best friend Pamela (De La Grange) on July 28, 1972 in Kelso, Washington. With the support of his wife, he went on to finish his masters degree in business administration and then on to his Doctorate of Management degree. Patrick worked at Keyport naval base as an IT director for 25 years, and he was an inspiration to many that he worked with and managed. Patrick also was a college professor for the University of Phoenix, Chapman University, and Broadman University. Passing on the knowledge that was given to him was something that he enjoyed greatly. Patrick loved golfing, traveling, music, watching concerts, entertaining friends, a fine glass of wine, and generally experiencing life to the fullest. He was the rock and the hero of his family, always being able to help them with any situation and always having the answers to any dilemma that came their way. He could design and build a house or a back yard patio as well play several instruments in a rock band. He also wrote and published a book about project management that is found in university libraries. Anything he set his mind to he could accomplish. He was a great man! Patrick is survived by his wife Pamela Murray of Allyn, Washington, his daughter Adriane Murray of Las Vegas, Nevada, his son Brian Murray of Belfair, Washington, his daughter in-law Taylor Murray of Belfair, Washington, and his parents Gene and Lougene Murray. He is also survived by his sister and two brothers whom he loved dearly along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Murray family. A reception will follow. The family is requesting that in place of flowers you donate to the ALS Association. This disease is something that Patrick and the rest of the Murray family wishes no one has to suffer from.
