

Petronilla Catherine Madden, 83, passed away at home, Feburary 22, 2019, from cancer. Petronilla was born December 19, 1935 in Elma, IA, to John Leo and Rose Ann (Kinney) Madden. She attended Central Kitsap schools. She worked at Peoples National Bank for 34 years and then was quite busy during her retired life. She enjoyed her nephews and nieces with whom she spent a lot of her time. She was meticulous with household décor, was a talented artist, and an avid outdoors gardener. Petronilla was also a professional seamstress, who sewed beautiful clothing; including, wedding dresses, upholstery, and draperies. She also sewed for the Catholic Church bazaar. Petronilla was always there with a smile, for volunteer work with Holy Trinity Parish, and for family and friends with any request for help they might have. Petronilla was a very devout Roman Catholic who practiced her faith religiously for all her life. Petronilla is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: Donald Regan, Joseph Regan, Robert Madden, and Elroy Madden. She is survived by two sister in laws, Lois Regan of Silverdale; and Katherine Regan of Seattle; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Services will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4215 Pine Rd NE, Bremerton, 98310. There will be no viewing, Rosary is at 10:30 AM, and Mass at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception in the parish hall. A graveside service will be at 2:00 PM at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park at 5505 Kitsap Way, Bremerton. Donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Parish Charity fund.
