

Ralph Clair Gribbin, 90, of Bremerton, husband to the late Lois Gribbin, passed away at his home on January 29th, 2022. After four years of separation, Ralph and Lois are together again in their heavenly reunion.
Ralph was born in Garfield, Washington on March 25th 1931, to the late Harold Gribbin and Elsie Gribbin. He spent his boyhood in Eastern Washington, surrounded by a large family that lived near the Grand Coulee area.
In 1949, just a few months before his 18th birthday Ralph signed up for the naval reserves, later he would move to active duty from which he retired in 1975. In 1967, while living in San Diego, Ralph met Lois who was working as waitress at the CPO club. The two fell in love immediately and were married shortly after. In 1974 Ralph officially adopted her four children formalizing their family. Ralph worked for the naval shipyard for 16 years, retiring in April of 1993.
After meeting Lois, Ralph became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was deeply committed to the church. They spent many hours volunteering for the church including a two-year mission to Tulsa Oklahoma in 1998. After they were both retired Ralph and Lois spent most of their time traveling– visiting all 50 states in their lifetime.
Ralph is survived by five of his children, Mike (Carrie) Gribbin, Leslie Jensen, Karen (Ken) Alyea, Carol Sablosky, Patricia (Rick) Stamps and daughter in law Kathi Gribbin; 18 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; his brother Gene (Tanis) Gribbin; and many nieces and nephews. Ralph is preceded in death by his beloved wife Lois Gribbin, son Gary Gribbin, and grandson Philip Gribbin.
A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held on Saturday February 5th, 11 am at the Perry Avenue Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
