She came to the US to be with her daughter and her family in the 1990s and settled here in Silverdale/Bremerton for almost 28 years. We
Nanang, as she is fondly called, was a strong, smart and very independent minded lady. She kept up with family news and loved them even from thousands of miles away. In her younger days, she was known far and wide for her special "suman latik" recipe which is a native delicacy that everyone enjoys even now. She was an active member of the Catholic Women's League in Sanchez Mira and her deeply religious conviction was instilled in her family early on. She has served her community as a baranggay counselor for almost a decade. Loves to play the harp and an oido piano player. Here in the US, she was a member of the Senior Citizens of Bremerton and had volunteered as a foster grandma almost the rest of her life. She enjoyed life and lived up to her favorite saying "Laugh, it heals the soul." Her family will miss her so much but is comforted that she is in a better place now with her beloved husband, Jose Rizal Daquigan Lagadon and in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
