Robert Dennis Hughes

Dennis was born June 28, 1940 in Long Beach, California to Robert Eugene Hughes and Edna Louise Taylor. He died March 23,2022 in Seattle, age 81.

Dennis grew up in the Antelope Valley, near Lancaster California. He moved to Sunnyvale, California in 1959, where he met and later married Patti Larson. They were married in Mt, View, California on October 27 1962. Dennis was employed at Lockheed, in Sunnyvale California from 1959/1960 until 1977, when he was transferred to Naval Submarine Base Bangor. He retired from Lockheed in late 1995 and joined Paladin Data Systems in Poulsbo two weeks later. He retired again in 2000.

His retirement toy was a bright red 1965 Austin Healey, in which he and Patti enjoyed many friends, tours and events with the Cascade Austin Healy club of Seattle.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 59 years, Pattie; Daughter Ginny and her husband Braeden Rippeth; her children; Katy Johnston, Robbie, his wife Criston Johnston and Brian Johnston; Son, David Hughes and his wife Yoshie and their children, Emi, Mia, Ben and Daniel. Also two great-grand Children Jason Bankosh and Emma Johnston.

He was preceded in death by his son Mike and sister Eileen.

As he wished, there will not be a funeral service. A gathering of family will be held at a later date.
