

Born in Nyssa, Oregon, Bob was raised in Nampa, Idaho, where his love of music began. He played drums in his high school band and later enjoyed playing the drums and jamming with a couple of local rock bands.
After graduating high school, Bob studied at Boise College (now Boise State University) before volunteering to serve his country in the United States Air Force, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. Following his military service, he completed the Apprentice Program at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Bob dedicated 37 years of skilled service to PSNS, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Never one to stop learning, he later completed online courses through Southern Illinois University and went on to teach vocational education and precision machinery at West Sound Tech and Olympic College, sharing his knowledge and mentoring the next generation.
On July 5, 1969, Bob married the love of his life, Phyllis Seidel, in Pocatello, Idaho. Together they built a life grounded in faith, family, and service, celebrating 56 years of marriage.
Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time fishing. He was a devoted and active member of Holy Trinity Parish in Bremerton, where he generously volunteered his time. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and dedicated many hours to serving others through St. Vincent de Paul. His faith and commitment to helping those in need were central to his life.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Phyllis Ramirez; his son, Tracey Ramirez, and daughter-in-law, Katherine Ramirez, of Sammamish, Washington; and his cherished granddaughter, Victoria Ramirez. He is also survived by his brothers, Ron Ramirez of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Ted Ramirez of Bremerton, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anastacio “Ernie” Ramirez and Edwardina “Eddie” Ramirez. Bob also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews: Ron Ramirez Jr., Christa Kepner, Trisha Smedley, Todd Ramirez, Brandon Ramirez, Trina Young, Charity Saxton, Jonathan Seidel, and Shantell Seaton, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Bob will be remembered for his steady faith, strong work ethic, generous heart, and deep love for his family. His legacy of service, music, mentorship, and devotion will live on in all who knew and loved him.
