Robert F. Spencer was born 12-5-43 in Yakima, WA and died 9-3-13 in Bremerton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gayland, and his mother Omega Richmond. His father, Theodore Simpson, served in the US Navy for 8 years and died in 1949.
Robert was adopted by his aunt and uncle, Pauline & Charles Spencer. He grew up in Bremerton, Portland, & Yakima. He joined the Army in 1965 and spent 2 years in Germany as a missile technician. He met his wife, Ingrid, there & they were married in 1967 in Yakima. They have 3 children & 4 grandchildren. Robert retired from the National Guard in 2005. He was always busy fixing things and helping others until he was not able to do this anymore because of his illness. He is greatly missed by all.
Robert’s services will be Tues, Sep 10, 2013 at Our Lady Star of the Sea. Visitation will be at 10 am, followed by a Rosary at 10:30 and Mass at 11 am. A reception will follow. He will be laid to rest at 2:00 pm at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
