Roco Pierro

Roco Pierro, 98, passed away on May 13, 2016 in Bremerton, WA. He was a beloved husband to Anna Rose Pierro. Born in Chelmsford, MA on November 20, 1917; Roco was the son of Joseph and Angelina Pierro, a family of 9 children. As a young married man Roco served in the United States Army and on July 7, 1946 he received an Honorable Discharge. He moved his family to Bremerton, WA and was employed by the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and retired, January 12, 1979 after 32 years as a Ship Scheduler Machinist. He enjoyed hiking, camping and was an avid gardener. Roco is survived by two sons, Keen Pierro and wife Irene of Sequim, WA, Robert Pierro and wife Cindy of Youngsville, LA, his brother Albert Pierro of Las Vegas, NV, his sister Stella and husband Graham Penney of North Chelmsford, MA. Roco is survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Roco was preceded in death by his wife Anna Rose Pierro after 72 years of marriage, daughter, Anne Adamski, by four brothers: Anthony, James, John and Ralph Pierro and two sisters, Baby Rose and Irene Longfellow. The Funeral Service to be held Thursday May 19, at Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 5505 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, with a viewing at 10:00am and Graveside Service at 11:00am.
