Rose’s life would seem too short for many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that Rose stayed here. Rose was talented and loving in many aspects of her life. Rose was a master of making sure everyone was fed, an avid fan of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and an amazing mom. When Rose wasn’t doing her plastic canvas or attending 4-H events, she could be found watching westerns and Dr. Pimple Popper. Not a day went by where Rose didn’t talk about how much her family meant to her – her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Marlyn Freiboth, children, Brenda Barrington (Kelsey), Malinda Ryan (Pat), and Rhonda Barrington (Max), 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brothers Bud and Fran Schnell, numerous extended family, and countless friends. Rose was preceded in in death by her granddaughter, Ashley Barrington, her parents, Rosa and Harry Schnell, and sisters Ina Rasar and Jean Walker.
Services will be held February 26, 2024 at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 12pm, with a reception to follow at Brenda and Kelsey Barrington’s at 3:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to please consider making a contribution to Kitsap County 4-H, an organization Rose cared for.
