She was born November 9, 1943 in Oak Park, Illinois to Cissel and Emma Bracher. She graduated in 1965 from Concordia Teacher’s College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She met the love of her life, Dewayne Berry on a blind date in 1965. They were married in 1966. She served the Lord as a teacher and homemaker and a wonderful mother who raised her 3 handsome boys. The happy couple lived in Lake Zurich Illinois before moving to Cle Elum and then Roslyn, WA. In 2003 they moved to the Puget Sound area to be closer to their grandchildren.
Ruth enjoyed being with her family, making cards, crafting (especially with her grandchildren), playing games with family and friends, and was very involved in her church.
She is survived by; her 3 sons Mark Berry and wife Karyn, of Portland, Oregon; Mike Berry and wife Sheila, of Federal Way, Washington; Dan Berry and wife Tami, and their children, Dylan (age 17) and Makayla (age 15), all of Poulsbo, Washington; and 3 nephews; Brett, Wayne, and Steve, and 1 niece; Wendy.
Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandma. She was a strong Christian and always had a positive outlook. She was creative and had a fun sense of humor.
The Celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at 1:30pm on Sunday, 17th July 2022 at Abundant Life Foursquare Church, 5610 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, Washington 98312. All are welcome.

Ruth will be laid to rest at Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, Washington joining her husband, Dewayne, who passed in 2018.
