Samuel Stern was a significant other to my mother from best guess being 2008 to 2010. He was not just a good man who taught me alot in the year and a half I knew him, but a great man who I was fortunate enough to get to know and learn from, I was also lucky enough meet his son Sam Jr. as well as get to spend time with him as well, I was also was lucky to see his boat he adored and see his parents home. What I cherish most is to be able to this day to own a remarkable box he made out of many different types of wood with very impressive cuts, angles and corners, the thing is a true work of art that really shows how impressive he was as a woodworker. I feel so lucky to have known the man.
Sam I hope you are doing great where you are and I hold you in my heart and thoughts always.

I worked with Sam at Indigo marine for 3 years. We became friends and he was a very good woodworker. He was very serious about his job but i would always find a way to make him laugh. One summer i would go out to his parents house and do varnish work on his grandfathers sailboat and bring my son along to go fishing off the dock. His mom and dad were always kind. This is sad to see Sam has passed. I never got the chance to meet his children. Love ya Sam! Ray Heath

Sam was one of the most talented shipwrights and woodworkers that I ever had the pleasure of sharing a bench with.
Not a fan of Chris Isaac as I recall. A fun and funny guy. RIP Sammy!
