It's been a month since Sandi left us, and I will miss her forever. We had a great friendship that spanned nearly 60 years and had so many good times along the way. I will cherish  the weeks before her leaving that we could say our good byes.
We had lots of get togethers  while our families were growing up, then she as a single woman, she and I made many trips together. After retiring,  she boldly towed her R.V's and joined us in Arizona for many years. I will miss her forever,  my wish for her was to live, but that wasn't to be. Until we meet again my friend, God keep you in his loving arms, as I will keep you in my memories.
My deepest sympathy to Tim, Terry, Lisa and Todd. Your mother loved you very much. May your memories sustain you.

Tim, Terry, Lisa and Todd I was so saddened to hear about the passing of your mom.  Our friendship goes way back to seventh grade; some 70 years ago.  Your mom and I met in band, played the clarinet together and our birthdays were just 2 days apart.  

We spent many hours together outside of school.  I went camping with your mom and her parents (Goldie and Carl) and your mom went with me to stay with my grandmother on Vashon Island.  I often went to your mom’s house before and after events at the high school. 

We spent many a rainy Friday night at Bremerton West High football games performing in halftime shows.  I will never forget one Friday night half time show.  It had been raining for about a week and the field was extremely soggy.  In one part of the show, we did a staggered about face as a routine in a song. Your mom executed an excellent about face and promptly did a “face plant” into the mud.  She quickly got up, wiped the mud off of her face and when we looked at each other we started laughing so hard that we could not play.  

After high school we went to different colleges, but we kept in contact.  We had a big laugh when we informed each other about our new baby boys.  Your mom had just had her fourth baby and I had my first, we couldn’t believe that we ended up with the same name “Todd” for our baby boys.   

Through the years we have kept in touch.  We often visited the PNW at least once a year and most years your mom, my husband Herb and I would get together.  Sometimes we would meet for breakfast; or lunch and more recently at her senior living.  I will miss your mom’s ready laughter and quick wit, but of course not as much as you all will miss her.  She was so proud of her family.

Lisa, I am sorry I am slow in writing this memory.  Thank you so much for keeping me informed about your mom’s health.  I have been trying to have a tree planted in your mom’s honor; as was done recently for Herb.  Sadly, it seems that this service is not done in Washing
