Sandy attended Olympic View Elementary, George Dewey Intermediate School, and East Bremerton High School.
She was a teacher’s aide, playground supervisor, and housekeeper. She enjoyed riding dirt bikes and horses, bowling, billiards, Coca-Cola, and reading books of true crime. She got a tattoo before they were widely accepted. She was a good cook, except when it came to steaks. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Goins, to whom she was married for 50 years; son, Troy (Carianne) Kehm-Goins; son, Marc (Linda) Goins; daughter, Mindy Finnegan; grandchildren, Kaylee, Kyra, Hannah, and Ethan; brother, Steve (Gail) Moss; brother, Terry (Jardene) Moss; and nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the medical and hospice staff of Harrison Medical Center for the stellar care they provided Sandy in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation or the Franciscan Foundation (CHI Franciscan Hospice) in Sandy’s name.
