Shirley Lavern Boerner, passed away December 2, 2014 in Langley, Washington. She was born September 21, 1918 in St.Lawrence South Dakota to her parents: John Lee Jones - born July 19, 1879 in Chester, England and passed October 23, 1943 in St.Lawrence, South Dakota - and Mabel May King - born August 31, 1885 in St.Lawrence, South Dakota and passed October 22, 1957 in Escondido, California.
Shirley graduated High School and worked in sales for beauty and barber supplies. In life, she had two husbands: Carl Ward and later Clifford Boerner. She loved playing Keno at her local casino and supporting her kids in their pursuits and goals - including teaching them to stay true to yourself. And whenever it came on, she would love to sing "She's on her way!"
She will be remembered as a loving mother and friend by those she left behind: son and daughter-in-law Danny and Deidre Ward; son Dennis ward; daughter and son in law, Charlene and Ray Brown,daughter and son in law Colette and Bobby Riggs, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren to name a few.
